Bermuda, Bahama, come on pretty weather… not quite the Beach Boys forecast just yet, but sunshine and warm weather to finish out the opening week of the month of March are on the horizons for Northwest Georgia.

NWS Peachtree City expects that a high pressure system coming in from the Atlantic and Bermuda region of the ocean is bringing in warm, muggy weather to the region, along with areas of East Alabama and Eastern Tennessee, all the way up the east coast into the Mid-Atlantic region.

That means the area is going to experience highs in the 70s and 80s at midweek, and lows in the upper 50s and low 60s to stay in place through Friday.

However that wonderful weather pattern predicted by meteorologists will be spoiled by Friday night, as chances of rain increase overnight and into Saturday. Highs will still be in the 80s to kick off the weekend on Saturday, but by Sunday showers and thunderstorms are likely for the area and will stick around through the beginning of next week.

Temperatures won’t be cooling down though from the rain and storms pushing through over the weekend, as highs starting next week will still be in the low 80s for some spots in the region, and lows down into the mid to upper 50s.

Nationally, the warmup will impact the eastern half of the country and spread out from the south northward as spring begins to arrive early in spots otherwise that would be buried in snow. Highs over the weekend in spots New York City, Chicago and as far west as Denver will experience highs in the 60s and 70s by the beginning of next week.

Expect unseasonably warm and clear weather in the coming days for much of the continental United States as March is in full swing with an early spring in its step.
